Interior Work

Does anybody know if it's possible to do interior work yourself? My car looks like a pitbull was let loose in there, with shredded upholstery, panels coming off of walls, and just a faded, dirty appearance. Right now it's a nasty burgundy color, was thinking about changing it to gray. Is there an interior paint that works for the dash and stuff or am I going to have to try and find and liberally apply fabric?

Thanks Much

I was wondering the same thing...when i do mine i plan on going black i think...i figure id buy the carpet kit (Victoria British) to get all the carpets black, and then id recover the seats...or get cloth ones from a different car (mines a GSL with leather) but as far as the dashboard, door panels, and center console i dont know what to do...

well as far as dash, you might get lucky and find a nice one(dash, door panels, rear trim, bins, or whatever) at the junk yard. you might be able to jsut get a dash cover though if you want. ive seen plenty, just get em the day they get there. most of em are half decent. id say get new carpets though, makes a huge difference. man i'll see a nice fb with half decent interior of any color, and a week later the interior is stripped down to bare metal. all i can say is wait awhile and look around every few weeks and you should be able to find a nice car to rape.

That's what I did. I found a entire dash at the local junk yard. The dash even still soft. But it was a green color. I'm going with a black interior also. I came across some spray viynel dye at autozone that works great!!.

yup mine was red in the inside, keyword "was".i spray painted the dash with just regular good quality black spray paint, hasnt chipped or cracked yet.looks great.as for the carpet dont waste your time,it will never hold, buy the kit from vb.unless your really good with fabric id get new door skins as well, just grab em from a junk yard.my interior was black with the center in a metalic blue that changed to purple in the light, along with very outer ring around gauges, handle for glove box,and handles for doors.know its all silver where the blue was.will upload some pics if you want.lmk.
