I've had my 84 gs for over a year now, and find that the stock dash and carpet design leaves something to be desired. The carpet material is awfully long, almost like a **** rug, and I have been thinking the dash would look really cool if it were straight across like on the passenger side. No tunnel thing in front of the steering wheel housing the guages. If all the were lined side by side in their own respective portals across the dash I thouoght it might look a little more unique and race-like. Someone let me know if they can imagine what I am thinking or if I sound crazy. As far as the carpet, my friend replaced some of the tweed material in his 300z with something he called super-suede, but it looked pretty tacky. However, I thought some charcoal colored or brown suede more like what you see on shoes might look nice on the door panels and below the center console. Has anyone done this?
