Intercooler for my TII swap

I only need two more things for my TII swap. Intercooler and a GT35R turbo. Is this intercooler a good choice? Can't find a large NPR around..

The Volvo one, while large - is too thin.

I'd look at the one Zbeater has, or the old faithful - the Isuzu NPR intercooler.
Currently mine is supporting well over 450+ to the wheels.

I am planning on putting TWO NPR intercoolers (cut and welded) on my car,
when I upgrade my Turbo.

intercooler effeciency

For a given core volume the thinner intercooler will generally be more efficient in cooling.
A 24" wide by 6" tall by 4" thick core will be less efficient cooling than a 24" wide by 12" tall by 2" thickness core.
Pressure drop through the core will be less if the charge air flow runs in the short dimension. In the example above, if the flow runs in the 24" width direction there would be no difference in the pressure drop between the two, while if it was in the top to bottom direction the 6" would have less restriction than the 12". Choose the largest face area core that will fit and run the internal flow across the short dimension then pick the thickness that will have acceptable air flow restriction for the volume of air the application needs. Choose the inlet/outlet positions to get the most direct routing for the intercooler pipes. Try not to run the pipe from the intercooler to the engine behind the radiator to avoid reheating the charge air.

Interesting. That is a cool idea.

That IC looks like it will fit nicely. Will it clear the rad supports?

I don't know but I'm going with it. If I have to fab some stuff I think it will be worth it. Gonna be pushing around 400 hp.

That's a nice IC, but I am not sure it's a NPR. Might be a FUSO or Powerstroke IC. I have no experience with the one pictured.

Looks better than those crappy Volvo ones anyway.
