Question intake upgrade ?

I have know clue about the 7’s engine, and I’m looking at getting a power pulse intake. Ok this is it gets dumb were will the bottom hose go, the one that comes from the engine and goes to the intake? And the rubber tube that is on top of the intake were will that go? Back tracking about the first tube it is cracked should I replace it or will I be fine just waiting a couple of weeks?

Thanks
Chris

You need to replace the hose immediately because they have been known to cause premature engine failure- a cracked hose can add too much air into the motor, as a result the motor will run too lean and eventually damage an apex seal. be carefull, or just add duct tape.

Chris, the extra hose to the top of the air cleaner lid leads to the charcoal canister.

You may wish to contact RB and see what they recommend for your year. I'm not sure if thier air cleaner is designed for the engines that have the canister in the lid. If nothing else, you may need to add the 81+ canister that mounts on the inner fender well and replumb for the canister.

I would go ahead and replace the cracked hose until you decide which route to take for the air cleaner.
