There are synchronization tools available to synch both carbs to open at the same time. The Uni-Syn came with Rotary Engineering dual 36 DCD setup.

YEARS ago I was going to buy one used and many people said they synch the carb once a year or less. Set it and forget it.

A piece of fuel line and an ear can also be used to synch them up.

Yes, it's worth it by a long shot.

Ear and hose has proven to work better for me than the unisync tool which truly redefines teh suck...

If I had it to do again, but still be duals, I would get the TWM dual DCOE manifold and run two 40DCOE Webers. While they lack the fuel economy of the progressive barrel 36DCD's, they would probably flow a lot more air on the top side and they seem to be much easier to work on.. I dunno. I really just want turbo and fi any more...

Yeah, I liked the Weber DCOE I had, but Id like to mess with a Holley too. The Weber was just so easy to work on, and learn about. I thought it was all complicated and ****, but it was my first "tunable" carb, and man I learned a lot really quick. Its a simple carb to work with, thats for sure. Jet changes, adjustments, etc. All simple. Ive never really messed with anything else, so I have no real basis for comparison, but in my book, the Weber was just easy as pie. Im sure the IDAs and other Webers are just as simple too. I mainly just want to mess with a Holley to see what its like, how it runs, etc. Oh well, maybe someday .

In my experiance, they might come with a little paper telling you how to get it to run at first, but other than that, its up to you to get tuning books and everything.
