Instrument Illumination

I have an 85 rexand wondering how to remove the instrument panel to see what is wrong with my lights. I believe my dimmer switch is ripped out, where is it located? Any help or suggestions would be awesome.

Dimmer for the dash lights is the roller switch just to the left of the choke ****. Pull the sitch and check for power on one of the wires. If you have power, try jumping the power across the switch. If the dash lights come on, the switch is bad.

If the roller just keeps turning, it's broke. It should only rotate about 180*, if it rotates more than that, the wires get broken inside the switch. Result can be no lights or full illumination.

The lights in my dashboard just did the exact same thing. I didn't see if a bulb burnt out or not, but I was wondering if just one bulb burns out if they all quit working, because my dimmer switch still rotates right. Haven't checked the power to it yet though.

I got to the bulb that lights up the water temp gauge and fuel gauge and it was good. I have power to the dimmer switch, but I don't think I have any power out of it are ther any other possible causes for all the lights to to quit working, I'm stumped where to go next.
