Installing RE-Speed Camber Plates with stock diameter springs
Was wondering what some of you all did when installing these. I have a set of RE-Speed Camber Plates that I am installing on an 85 GSL-SE with Suspension Techniques drop springs and stock spring top hats. If I try to run the top hat with the stock washer that sits on the shank of the strut I get very little movement at the top due to the fact the stock top plate fills most of the strut tower opening. What can I do to get more range short of buying a coilover setup.

that's why we go with a 2.5" spring.
if you really feel like it, you can measure the rate and length of the spring you have and buy the same rate and length but in a 2.5" eibach/hypercoil/ respeed

I started out using my camber plates with RB springs and ran into the same problem. I could still add some camber, enough to make a noticeable difference in autocross, but I could not get the full adjustment that the plates were capable of because of the diameter of the springs. This was just one more reason for me to make the change to coilovers...
