im having electrical problems
my Trailing coil keeps burning out. But it still runs, but not good. Also i keep burning out a fuseable link. when i do have a good coil, at night i can see sparks comeing from the coil. Where do i begin to try to fix that.

would that burn it out. repeditively. And it the fuseable link on the top.
It runs fine until i try to go up hills and then it cuts out and jerks. or if i try to mash the gas quickly in 3rd gear or later. i think i switched all the plug and coil wires.

Start by making sure that all of the current wiring is routed correctly. Then, check that coil wire (between coil and cap) and make sure it's in good shape.
After that, I would remove and either clean or replace both battery cables. If the engine does not have sufficient grounding, then it can cause all kinds of issues. The original cables are aluminum and often deteriorate under the casing so that you can't see it. Replace these with something of high quality and you will save yourself a lot of troubleshooting down the road.

If you're burning out the top fusible link on a 12A, that one is for the headlight retractors, it has nothing to do with the engine electrics. If you have a 13B and are burning out the top link of the seperate pair of links, that one is for the injectors and will kill the engine instantly. This is why everyone should state the model/engine in thier posts.
Assuming you have a 12A, burning out that link has nothing to do with the engine running, ergo, you have more than one problem. Even with that link burnt, the engine should still run. Unless the spark is arcing directly to the link. Start by tracing the wiring from the headlight motors back through the harness.
I have found that many of the after market spark plug wire boots tend to be a bit to small for the coil tower and will squeeze themselves off of the coil. When this happens, the wire may not recieve it's full spark from the coil and will bleed off/ground.
Since you state that this happens when going up hills/going into 3rd gear, I suspect something is loose. Is your battery tied down?
