I'm baaaaccckkk.....
Hey guys,
It feels pretty dang good to be back. I sold my '84 SE to Paul Aber awhile back and have been undecided as to what "toy" to get. Was looking at some Detroit Iron, but everything was out of my range. Found an '82 Rex, test drove it, and fell back in love. Car is an '82 S or GS. No sunroof, open/drum differential, and, get this, a two-spoke steering wheel. Has the factory Targa band, rear spoiler, front air dam, and louvers. Anyways, we come to the problems. The car was broken into and the radio stolen, so I currently need a center dash piece and a passenger window. Anyone got some spares lying around? And, my biggest concern. The car has a higher RPM surge, and doesn't pull as hard as my old '81 GSL did. The guy said it sat all winter, so the gas may be a little nasty. Also, it was fairly low on gas. Could it have been uncovering the fuel pump pickup and causing this? I'm going to be changing the fuel filter as soon as I actually pick up the car, and I'm hoping this fixes it. If not, I may end up rebuilding the carb. Thanks for any help, and man, it's wonderful to be home...

Ill have a passenger window soon, a guy in a week 1/2 is picking up my old 80, and I told him I get the interior, the side windows, and the window motors/reg.
I got a carb if you need one, I have 2 center 81-83 pieces but both have been modified for aftermarket radios. Still will be fine, but just wanted to let you know up front...

Hey Mike, define "modded"? I need a new center piece and I plan on putting a standard single din stereo in, so what you have may be exactly what I need. Do you have pics? I dont need it right away, but it would be nice to know where I can get one in the future (no local yards have any in one piece ). Thanks.
