Im askin second gen questions here cause...
The second gen guys cant answer it..and it turned out to be a flame war and for me to stay EFI and run a standalone for $1000.
Anyways..
Im in the process of buying another FC with no engine or tranny so.......
I can get a short block for $60.
I wanted to do a nice port on it and throw a carb set up..not tring to make killer HP but something to drive and beat on in the streets..
Since the FC has a intake high pressure fuel pump and im going carbed...what have some of you FB guys done to yoru GSL SE to go carbed..
What fuel pump mod or swap did you do ..

as far as I'm concerned... carb is better... less stuff to break, less stuff you have to have on your engine. You can still turbo.... Just doesn't give quite as good fuel economy, and the emissions won't be as good.

WHAT pump and HOW would you run it for the CARB set up..

YOU DON"T NEED TO SWAP OUT THE PUMP!!! Did you hear the answer?? Just get a bypass style regulator and you will be fine!
Hey I'll save you the trouble of having to find one.
FPR
I am using this one with a Walbro 255lph, 95psi shut off pressure inline pump on my WEBER!!!! and have it set to 3psi!!
I HOPE YOU HEAR THIS!!!

Got Boost?
A pump is a pump...... usually EFI pumps are more built up, because not only do they have to supply lots of fuel, but they have to do it at pressure greater than 40psi. That doesn't mean they aren't good flow. In fact at lower pressures they flow even better than they are rated. That being said, you will have to use a carb bypass style fuel pressure regulator, to get the right fuel pressure to the float bowls.
So I say, keep the pump as is.
