Ignitor Questions and no spark

Hi all I have an SA with an Upgraded FB electric ignition, now I had no problems until last week I lost power to the coil so I just replaced the Igniter, but when doing do I did not tightened the screws holding it in place, my question is as follows...

After the change of the igniter I am not getting any spark at all, Does it make a matter if the igniter fully touches the distributer housing?

or might it be something else, as I am getting power to the coils and to the Dist but there is no interrupting signal after the Igniter..

it is possible that you replaced it with another "BLOWN" igniter
