Ignition Upgrades (budget.... or otherwise)
Allright. We should have a thread about ignition upgrades that are easy/cheap to do... and some that are more esoteric.
Basically, what i've got so Far is:
1980 Dizzy
New Cap, Rotor, and BR8EQ-14's leading at trailing
i'd like suggestions on wire sets, that arent TOO expensive, and nice wires.
also, explain direct fire and DLDIFS (or whatever the **** that is)
any other suggestions for a more robust ignition without spending a shitload of money.

What do you think this is? That new BF Goodwrench Service plus?
Personally, I'd go with a later model distributor to set it up for electronic instead of points, then DLIDFIS with MSD blaster coils. Probably run you around 75 bucks for the coils distributor and extra ignitor, and maybe a couple hours labor. The instructions are searchable on the board here, and the parts are easliy located at a junkyard or ebay.
