ignition setup for nitrous - EMS???

I copy/pasted this from the engine management forum, where I posted this:

Heres the deal - I have a carbed 12A and would like something a little more "user friendly" than stabbing different distributors (1 with advance and 1 locked) each time I want to use nitrous. I am wanting something that gives me the option of using something like a stock setup, such as advancing timing and then simply change to a different setting to where it is now locked at a certain setting.

I'm thinking something along the lines of ECU (need help with this part), S4 CAS, S4 leading coil, and no trailing (not sure if this would matter or not). Does this sound like something that would work or am I way off base here? Im honestly looking to spend as little as possible but still using high quality products (if that makes sense). Inexpensive, not cheap.

Thanks for any ideas.

Something like this? http://www.msdignition.com/Products/...d_Control.aspx

They have other versions too, never tried them but they should do exactly what you need. This way you can still use the stock distributor.

Isnt full advance something like 20 degrees more than where it starts at idle? I would need in the neighborhood of 25 degrees retard, right? I have seen that but dont really know how it works... Lack of knowledge owns me.

I glanced at the manual, it seems that it has 3 wires that are normally grounded for base timing. Disconnect a wire and it retards a certain amount. I'm guessing there's a way to set how much each wire retards it, it says total retard is up to 25deg. I'd call them to make sure it works with the rotary, since it's programmed for a v8, and it says to cut wires for a 6 or 4cyl. I don't see why it wouldn't work though, all it does is delay the signal to the msd box.
