Ignition question

My pick up for my secondaries stopped woking. I am trying to decide to either replace my distributor or upgrade to a second gen ignition. Is this an easy convertion? Are there any advantages to doing this? Thanks for any help. Oh my car is an 83 12a

pickup for the secondaries? perhaps for the trailing ignition? i would replace the distributor personally. you can convert you ignition and it is a popular setup. i would do a search on it to extract all of the valuable info and the do's and don't's.
