ignition coils

If I were to say, put on new coils that put out more juice, would this lead to a better burn? or would it do nothing at all? I'd like to burn some of that gas I'm spitting out as fireballs :p

I put on a pair of msd blaster ss coils, and 9mm wires last year to replace the toasted stock equipment .... I can't say i felt a real performance difference without the actual msd units, but i did notice a slightly smoother idle, and an extra 1-2mpg.

typically you won't see much gain. even if the coils are more potent you still could have a weak link further down the line such as the dizzy rotor and cap. i ran a jacob's system on my camry and fryed the dizzy rather quickly. this is one of the reasons a lot of people here have gone direct fire.
