igniters

hey what the fudge is wrong with my igniters?? okay i raced my car the other day my speed went way up bt my 0's foots dropped .2's of a second i'm then i figured out my trailing igniter wasn't working when the tach wasn't working and i pulled the plugs and they were all covered in oil aand gas. so i pulled the coil wire while it was running and nothing. so i put in a diferent igniter i had and my tach works again i go for a test drive and it pulls ssssssooooooooo much harder!!! i think its fixed/ i go to work. after work the tach isn't working again... WTF??? after the car gets to fully opperating temprature it works aain but on ly after sticking every few seconds? and now it only works if its been hot out all day or if its cold and the engine is at full operating temp. and i have the msd directfire thing on my leading if that matters any...

Sounds like you have a wiring problem. One of your wires to your ignition, etc may be cracked, or broken. When cold, it makes contact with itself, when warm and expanded it doesn't.

The Fusible Links suffer that same fate regulalry as well.

Don't see why not. Just make sure you hook up the signal wire for the tach.
