Idle Gremlins
Wassup forum ppl.
I'm having some idle problems.
1. Car sits over night, starts up no noticeable idle problem, car idles fine at this point.
2. Drive the car around for a while , say 10-15 minutes.
3. Bring the car to a halt and the idle bounces from 1000 RPM to 1500 RPM.
4. Put some pressure on the clutch and the idle stops bouncing but rises to 2000 RPM.
5. Remove pressure from the clutch and the car once again bounces from 1000 to 1500 RPM.
On a side note, I had ALL vacuum hoses on my 7 replaced recently but the car ran fine until several days after. --- The problem may be here but everything looks in place and in order.
It's annoying. I don't want to take my car back to the chop shop and pay 60$/hr. for something I might be able to fix myself. I live in a Pacific NW downtown city and have restrictions placed upon vehical repair without a garage.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
M.
