Idle Adjustment(repost i know, but ive tried)
Hey all, ive tried many ways as previous stated and in my hayes manual. I did find my vacuum leak, so my idle is stable now, i just cant get my car to drop from 1500 rpm to the recommended 800 to 900. Ive tried air adjust and some other screws there and it just wont drop.

Have you tried erm...
Check under the dash near your accellarator pedal, there is an adjustable screw, it may be holding the accellarator in slightly, try loosening the screw, if not, try checking the accellarator cable, make sure there is no pressure on it.
Close off all of the vacuum hoses, plug them all up, see if that works, erm...
Thats about all I can think of.
Yeah and check the idle screw and air fuel ratio screw

i dunno which one is wich, i also have a question about, down by the green plug wher eu hook up a tps test light, theres a little thing with a screw inside and it can make like a quarter turn in each direction and it has arrows on it, wats that for. could u please describe wich screw does wat thou, since everyhting is in same location and hayes doesnt show good pics i could never tell which is which
The little screw is for mixture adjustment at idle - it should be set about the halfway mark. I posted on your last thread about your looking for a "TPS". check the thread - I think you may have your fast idle cam adjusted waaaay to far and the idle will not drop until the car is fully warmed up (thats what you mentioned in the last post). I don't know what you adjusted, so its tough to determine what is out of wack. I don't think it could be the air bleed screw as it won't adjust that much to have you idling at 1500 - it's must be the 2 adjustments for idle (the cam and the roller) - also, lube up the throttle linkage (plates) real good - they could be simply hanging up. And keep looking for vac leaks - you may still may have more. Finally, read this - it may help
