Ideas on fuel setup surge tank GSL SE pump and holley red.

I have a GSL-SE fuel pump and a holley RED, I was going to make an insulated box for the entire system instead of mounting under the car.

For the surge tank I plan on the frugal route...

The box would fit into the drivers side bin. It would house both pumps and the surge tank. The 3/8 Hoses and wires would feed through under the car (through a grommet of course.). The box would be through bolted in place.

My Holley red will be my feed for the surge tank. I hope that insulating the box well enough will cut down on the noise of both pumps... but I'm not sure of the heat factor. I'm assuming if they can take the temps of being under the car across from the exhaust on a FL summer... then I should be OK...

Any thoughts or ideas on this setup?

I saw that same link and I think it's a great idea. I used tweakit's surge tank before and cannot recommend it. The setup in the link is the best "1st gen solution", IMO. heh

I was planning on mounting mine where the charcoal canister is. I believe it'll be okay. Those filter canisters are fairly stout.
