Idea for the idlerarm

I was thinking bout removing the rubber and filling in the gap with lead. When I was in the Army we had trailers that had worn bushings on the foot so we would seal up the bottom of the swivle and pour lead into the gap. worked for that so i figured why not the idler arm. any opinions?

the real solution for them, is going to Rockauto.com, and getting the Moog Idler arm. Aloot more heavyduty, and also its a reciculating ball besign, unlike the stock one. I should have one up for sale soon if you'd like one. I'm switching over the Rack and Pinion Kit from ReSpeed.

Yeah, don't mess around when it comes to steering. Besides, I would imagine that the exhaust heat would be an issue for the lead. Do it once, do it right...

Then just buy new bushings, they're cheap anyway
