iddle problems

Question iddle problems

i'ts not exaclly the iddle,but when i push the pedal, the engine rpm is not stabel ,when i relieve my foot ,the rpm go first a litlle up and then dawn.
what 'the problem?? 1982/12 a

Does this still happen when the motor is warmed up? Sounds like it could be running a bit too rich at idle, or maybe the accelerator pump needs adjusting.

its is al the time, but I checked my ignition timing with a stroboscoop and it's now a little better, when i run ,par. ex; 2000rpm and I let my foot off the peddal the engine stays 1/2 second longer at 2000 and then fall ,,to idle 600rpm
