I have a TII and an fb. the FB is really close to recieving a 13b turbo, but alas. the funding fell though. I am thinking of selling my FB and mod the hell out of the TII, but here are some thoughts.

out of the box, the TII is considerably faster. If you plan on the FB turbo. this nolonger matters. Grassroots did a TII project car back in the day. after mods it pulled 1g on the skidpad. there is a guy of the FB list that pulled 1g on his FB also. I believe that the TII would be easer to accomplish this with. the fb would requier less power to reach the same times as an TII. example. If your goal is a 12 sec 1/4. a 2300lb fb wont requier as much power as a 2900lb TII. less power wold tend to mean a more reliable engine, and for a cheaper price. ifyou have the funds then aTIi is theway to go. it is amore developed car.

to tell the truth, I still cant choose.

Then base it on style....the SAs and FBs have a nicer look....the 2ndgen rexs look like poor man Porsches... They are derivative, not unique...

Just for that, I'm gonna dig up some pics and post 'em...it will be obvious what I'm talking about when you can see them together. By 2ndgen, I mean the '86-'91 rexs...

Must be something going around because I have an FD but want a 85 GSL-SE (keeping the FD of course). My girlfriend won't let me though.

I'd say go for the 84-85 GSL-SE... I've been driving nothing but 1st gens for 10 years and just recently purchased my first FD in January... The FD is a completely different experience than the 2 '85 GSL's I have but don't think they're going anywhere soon...

unless maybe I sell the GSL's, buy an '85 GSL-SE and start another project...

Me and my mom agree that at a far distance and at a certain angle, the rear ends of hondas look like FBs.

I've been mistaken like 3 times going, "IS THAT AN FB UP THERE?! IS IT?! Wtf?!?!?!!?!"

And I get a little bit closer and can see more of the side and tell it's a damn honda (I'm too blind to READ that far away)

I need some more Porsche shots, but I've compiled enough SA and FB shots to prove my point...it's too damn late (I'm an old man now, OK?) to start loading this stuff up, so I'll do it tomorrow...I stand by my earlier statement, the 2ndgens look like poor man Porsches...

Funny wattz should mention the Honda thing...one of the pics was next to a Honda pic that I thought was a Porsche at first. I'll include it, as well....

Now that's just hateful...240/260/280z's are like cigars in shape....the rexs are wider and flatter...do I need to get pictures of these cars, too??

I think the rex used the basic shape, but it's deffinatly not a wannabe 280zx.

But the way the front and rear end are shaped from the side POV is similar. But the lights are different, the hatch is different, everything else is different except the outline.

Now Nissan is just shitty. Nissan SXs are Rx-7s with pistons and a FAT ***. Seriously, look at one and you can tell... The *** end is fatter, but the rest of the car looks very similar.

Damn dirty nissan.

to me... FBs look kinda like the porsche 924
some FCs look like a 944, but most look like a probe..
FBs look nicer than a 924, though
and FCs look WAY nicer than probes.... NON-GT probes are ugly to me

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here we go...

I'm not going to ID any of them, it should be obvious like my statement...

And finally, to thoroughly crush the notion of 1stgens (SA or FB) looking like 928/944s and ps., this Forum absolutely kicks *** compared to the Porsche Club of America's Forum...

And then, this sweet little FB....

Case closed, gents??

If somebody can direct me to a decent sideways shot or send it to my Email URL, I'll redo the last three...I see your point, too, but it was the best 1stgen I could find after a 45 minute hunt...the Porsches were even worse...their stupid PCA Forum site sucks...
