Always entertaining

posting just to see what happens. I've been researching an ms3x/pro with a home made fuel system to run my factory 12a turbo for a long time. This is intriguing, although I wonder how it will perform at idle with having the injectors so high up the primary? Once the velocity gets up it will probably work very well, although better atomization with the slower moving low rpm air...

I've been looking into this since I found this thread, particularly the Street EFI. They're a bit backordered since word got out. I've looked at installs on muscle car forums from last year and it seems pretty straight plug and play like they advertise.
Did they recommend any setting on the controller for cubic inch, cylinders (4?), or cam type?

They recommended starting there with a "mild" cam, and letting the target computer do the rest

I got an email from Fitech yesterday stating I'm behind 300 paying customers, so I may not get my components for some time.
I'm going to move forward with my other projects for now, but I'll keep you updated for when it actually becomes available.

What I am most interested in is how much access to correction maps and parameters does the software and laptop hook-up grant?
Do they have their software available to play around with? I couldn't find it on their site.
I have zero confidence in the ECUs ability to self tune on the rotary.

It self tuned on some 1600 dual port Volkswagen's, using just the target computer.
Not surprising to me since that is a standard piston engine application.
Tuning a rotary, especially a ported one has been for me often... counter intuitive to piston engine tuning doctrine.
For instance, since it doesn't know it know that it is hooked up to a ported rotary; will it run max timing retard at idle and completely ignore AFRs even though they are around 10-12:1AFRs depending on heat soak of motor and look for the smoothest idle speed instead?
Nope. I bet it will try to use a target AFR at idle which will lead to lean hunting on a stock rotary and violent rooting on a ported rotary.
Throttle pump enrichment is another area I doubt it will dump enough fuel during as well as cold start-up.
It is like putting a carb from a running 2.6l piston engine directly on your 13B without completely re-tuning it for a rotary and expecting it to run right and then making the situation worse by focusing on usual piston engine AFRS to try to tune the drive-ability that way.
--------
But hey, it would be great to be pleasantly surprised.

The power adder version that was elected for test has variable targets that the user sets for AFR. As for timing control, I was the first subject with a rotary to test it, so we were starting on fuel only control.
They DO however believe if MS can run the timing, that their ECU should have plug ins that support a modification to run it, because they are similar.

has anyone actually gotten one of these on and tested it yet?
