i seem to be in a predicament (spelling so awful)

ok my car has a flat tire in the back tire (the one on the drivers side) so it makes the back end of the car too low to put the jack under..now i really need to get the transmission pan to drain the oil before i pull the engine out...so....how would you guys suggest i do this? we tried jacking it up a little and then sticking a jack stand under there but that didnt work...so we tried the jack stand with wood on it (dont ask) and that didnt work....and i cant get to the transmision pan from the other side because of the heat sheild and im afraid to jack the car up really high....how can i do this???!!

two guys at the back bumper can lift the car up enough to get a floor jack on the "frame" rail...well, maybe not two mice men...

Why do you need to drain the tranny fluid to pull the engine? Just unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate and no fluid will spill.

Can't you just blow up the tire and quick get a jack under the car? Or does the tire leak that bad? It should hold air for a minute at least. Just a thought

Use the scissor jack to lift it until you can get another jack under it. I had the same problem about 2 weeks ago. Though i managed it with mostly brute strength..

use a jack at the closest point, jhack it up, place wood under it, then move the jack towards the back, then jack up again, then put wood down, move the jack, rinse and repeat.

cheers'

Find some yeehaw farmer with a tractor and have him lift it up with his tractor. That's how I got my engine and transmission pulled out. Worked great, thanks to those resourceful farmers!

Jack the car up in the middle and stick something (bricks, wood, etc) under it and then you should be able to get the jack under the rear. Either that or borrow another jack..
