I Need a "FUNROOF"

I was going through a box of **** that came with my car today and came across a nifty little flyer with "FUNROOF" written in big bold letters...Now I know that I had an aftermarket moonroof...this blew out in the middle of the road before i purchased the car and I was wondering if anybody knows of a "FUNROOF" that I can buy?
(It has the side to side lever action, I think that was the only mechanism that "FUNROOF" used)

I would just get a glass moonroof. They seem pretty cool, I want one someday.

I can't...The way that "funroof" put it in, you have to have the exact peice of glass due to the way that it sits in the cutout...all the glass guys in town said that they could not make me a peice that would work

Never heard of that brand. Your best, and perhaps cheapest option, might be to find a complete new aftermarket one that is the same or slightly bigger in size.

Other than that. all I can suggest is Google the name and hit all of the aftermarket shops in your area that may have installed the sunroof originally. If the sunroof has been in a long time, there is a good chance that the company and installer are both out of business. Many of them were installed by shops that customized vans back in the day.

BRONCE,

Contact this company:

Funroof

Look at the bottom of the page at this link. "Funroof" is in there.

"DONMAR®, Skyroof®, VST™, Funroof®, ..."

They may be able to help you out.

Good luck,

DD

When you say "side to side" lever action, is the mechanism to raise/lower it just a metal thing that pivots?

If so, there WAS one on a car at the pick 'n pull here in town. I think the car was an '80? It was glass, not metal.

I'm going out of town this weekend, but I'll see if I can get back out there the following weekend if you want. Not sure how to remove the damn thing, tho.
