Here are some pics of the CF console blanks im making, pics dont do justice..
its a bolt-on part you can mount whatever you want, drill for gauges or switches
cut out for stereo equipment you guys decide.
as you can tell from the pics its for the early dash, Let me know what you guys think..

Gonna be hard to make the outer edges look smooth, given the regular grid pattern of the material and the irregular shape of the dash opening.

Could you make one for the 79-80 models? what about the plate around the shifter (also for 79-80)? The 79-80 have a slightly different console setup. What kind of price tag?

Bullshit you can. We make the best CF stuff around and it would be about 35 or so in materials without any labor. Also Fazzt73 you might want to look into a better Cf weave than the plain single dotted you are using the the pics above. We only use the finest 4x4 3d weave on the market and it makes all the difference in the world. Also you get your cuts straight use a jigsaw after you have resined your sheet then sand and spray the clear coats. Most people don't realize that this stuff is not easy and everyone can do it or they would. Good luck

If by early, you mean 1983, then I'll buy what's in the picture....it'll solve a lot of problems all at once for me....how much? Or is that prototype the only one so far? Any plans to do the shifter surround to finish that entire surface? How much for that?

okay so if you can make it for 35 bucks what makes you think i cant? i hate to tell you but 35 is lower than 50.. plus since i already have the materials i could make it for free.. which also is cheaper than 50.. i mean all you are making is a small piece with a small bend in it.. any child can do that.. why not make it a little more complicated than that if you want to charge 50.. thats about as bad as those websites charging $250 for a CF sunroof.. what a rip..

Just out of curiousity, are any of the cheapos using a vacuum autoclave to cure this stuff or are they air pocket ridden CF pieces as a result of not being vacuum cured?
