I just bought my first FB

So i have been into FCs for the past 10 years. I finally got around to pickin' up an FB. It is a 1985 with the 1.1L carbed motor. It has 150,XXX miles on it and it fully loaded. I don't know what model it is but it has leather, removable roof, power windows and mirrors and a rear wiper. It has the 4 lug 4 spoke wheels. I kinda like them. I bought it from a kid that has had it for 4 years and let it sit for the past 2. I am working on getting it running right now. I think it has a bad starter and it is not getting fuel to the carb (It's a new carb). It has some dents but i think i can take them out no prob. Here is the best part. I got it for 100 buxs!!!! SWEET! Im way excited to start driving it around.

If anyone has any parts for an FB let me know. I'm not looking to upgrade unless I am replacing the part anyways. I will need an alternator and a starter so far. The more i dig the more I will replace.

as far as fuel to the carb, check and make sure you have power to the pump when cranking. you can pull the driver's side storage bin and get to the connector for the fuel pump there. test your trailing ignition first if you aren't getting power to the fuel pump. often a trailing ignitor will fail and that will cause the pump not to receive power. another thing to check is the fuel pump relay. not too common for those to fail. its under the dash on the driver's side. if however you are getting power to the pump and don't hear the pump running, there's a good chance that the pump has given up the ghost.

I don't hear anything (fuel pump wise) yet i lift the top off the intake and i see fuel dripping into the carb when it is running. I think it might be something to do with the crappy distributor I have on there right now. Trying to find another.

Oh. The negative battery cable was totally shot as well.
