I hope I'm not the only one who does this
Well today I decided to take a break from my father's gsl-se project and start up my DD, see sig. I havn't been driving her for about two weeks (still waiting for insurance papers to get in) and she started right up.
After the warm-up I pull her out of the garage and into the driveway and man..I just sat there with the engine on,radio off, windows down, sunroof up and just listened to the engine (gotta love that "brap brap brap") for about an hour or so. I reved her up once or twice but it was one of those moments that you can't explain. I felt "one" with my car.
After the hour of spirituality, I cleaned her out and did a small fluids check.
Anyone else have these kinds of moments?

I had two '83's sitting in my garage the entire summer and half way through fall, and neither of them ran. So at least once a day i would get in, buckle my seat belt, and sit for a while, thinking about how awesome it was gonna be when they actually ran.
Now they're 45 minutes away, sitting in the cold outside a tuning shop, slowly making progress. Man, I miss them.

there's nothing wrong with spending time with your 7. i have a wife and the only reason we argue is because i'll find something to do with the 7 instead of her. it's simple to me. if i put in a thousand dollars and good know how and time i will get performance and dependablity. if i put that into my wife who knows what i'll get in return....

Well what do you know!!! I am not the only one who gets crap from their wife about their "projects". I kindly explained to her that mine is paid for, and I don't have a car payment (like she does). So, if I spend $355 a month on my 7, we are even right? To bad most wives don't get it like we do!!!! Any way, don't want to offend any women out there that own a 7, so please don't beat me up!!!!!

I know just what you're talking about. I put mine away for the winter but I stilll cant keep myself away from it. Guess its good though, I actually get some work done on it, instead of just driving.

Man, that is too weird. I bought another car just to put mine up for the winter to do some body and performance mods. Just to let a little secret out, I sometimes take the tag off the car I bought, and put it on the 7 to do " test and tune " sessons down the street. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOOPS!!! Did I say that out loud?????

Anybody who doesn't do this has no imagination and shouldn't deserve a 7 PERIOD!! I did this when I got my 7 cause it wasn't running. I just imagined how it would sound and the places I'd cruise and the ricers I'd kill LOL Good thing there was new lube in the gearbox when I bought it or it might be worn out LOL
