i bought one! FINALLY!
http://members.cardomain.com/89lsc4me (last few pages)
this is the page the previous owner made. i bought this car in non-running condition. man this post is long, so bear with me
basically the guy who sold it to me bought it off a friend who drove it daily until 5 years ago, when he parked it in a garage. its been sitting all that time without being started. so now, it doesn't start.
the guy began with de-carbon locking the engine, and continued to try to get her going. his username on this site is "89lsc4me". he has about 20 posts all directed towards getting this thing started. (check em if you have time). he got frustrated, and decided to sell it.
i believe the reason its not starting, is because of low compression (possibly), the fact the carb has sit so long i think it probably needs to be "free'd up"...i'll probably ask "sterling" to rebuild and "mod" the carb. also, it has the original exhaust with the 3 catalytic convertors on it....its probably pugging up the whole system. the plan is to get a new exhaust (headers, presilencer, straight through muffler), rebulding the carb, and then trying to push start it (if the compression really is low). hopefully this will get her going. at this point, im considering rebuilding the motor, or getting another so either way the carb work, and exhaust will still be worth it. the car has 270,000 kms on it, so im going to assume the engine has been replaced at some point, so maybe its still good.
u guys might not like the paint, but my favorite car i ever owned was an '85 gs yellow, its almost an exact replica, and it already feels like this new one has sentimental value to me already! lol. this car is a gsl. there is no badges to suggest so, but it has disk brakes on rear, and 12a motor, pwr windows/mirrors, cruise...so i assume unless someone swapped the rear end, it must be gsl. (its an 85). i paid $800 for it. and the floors and rockers are really really clean, i didn't check the bins, but the inside of the wheel wells are clean and pretty much rust free. the paint job is cheap, and there's a few ugly screws holding on the side skirts. the interior is seriously mint....black and grey (thank god), not leather. the seats and door panels are both the "cloth" look which i like. other than the skirts, and the wing its otherwise stock. no apparent rust anywhere. im really happy with this car. i don't have it yet, but i'll pick it up within 3 weeks. the guy is only 1/2 hour away from me!!! that's a big bonus.
i need a few things for this car. headers, presilencer (maybe). i'll probably do the rest of the exhaust custom with a straight through muffler. i need to get the carb rebuilt so i'll probably pm "sterling" unless u read this get back to me man...and get the compression tested somehow (apparently there's a special one u need???), maybe a rebuild for the motor, or a newer motor. i already bought brand new 17" tenzo c type wheels off this site a couple months ago. they were gunna go on the car i really wanted which i ended up not being able to afford unfortunately which was a gsl-se. too bad cuz they have the 114.3 pattern, and now i have a car with 110. i'll probably have to get those spacers that swap the pattern, or do a gsl-se suspension swap...not sure yet.
if you've read this far, right on. now you have a bit of background on othe car that i'll be posting about quite a bit in the near future. hahaha. thanks for reading. im pretty excited about the new car, and can't wait to get it here and start ******* with it.

My complete 12A Racing Beat exhaust is for sale with the block off plates for $350, and for $30 more Ill throw in the intake manifold along with the plates and a carb that works.
Sounds like you have a great project for yourself! I LOVE the back/grey cloth interior, I also have an 85 -SE with that interior scheme, but I think its going up for sale (blown rotor). If youre interested in that for a suspension swap and spare interior parts we could talk about that too, lol

Id rather not part it out, sorry man. I need to get rid of it all at once.

PS - Anyone else with questions about it or any of the other crap for sale, please PM me so we dont take over his thread.

by the way...I LOVE the sideskirts...they're my favorite ones so that was a huge bonus...but i don't really like the rear wing. its alright, but i prefer the whale tail, or at least the larger, but not imsa large factory style wing. i'll probably sell this one.
i need a front spoiler too eventually, and i think i just might go all out and get the one from the "altima ss" kit on selectmaz.au...its expensive, and apparently has fitment problems, but i can't get over how amazing it looks.
