I added some MMO.. it's a good thing !

Yesterday i did the MMO thing, I put $ 6.00 dollors in the gas tank ( ca.@ $ 1.45 gal.) and i used a syringe 30 CC's of MMO
right in the gas tank. Let me tell you, even with 87 octane, MY 12a really likes that stuff, runs way smoother, spins up, higher, faster, and no smoke either
out the back. thought i'd share that bit of info.

Now add a half quart to your next oil change and watch all the black glob come out. After a couple oil changes your oil will look as clean as the day you put it in.

I think Im gonna start using that stuff as soon as I get a job too...Although, whats the common oil/fuel ratio? I raced dirtbikes and I know how detrimental to the performance the wrong mixture can be. I know this is different as the car doesnt "need" the oil straight in the tank, which is why I wonder if adding it will degrade the performance as if you were to mix too much oil in a 2 stroke bike...If that make sense. Maybe Im on the wrong track here. Anyway, I plan on trying it at least (Ill try anything once if it makes sense) I would just like to know the "proper" or "common" ratio you guys mix. I usually only get gas a full tank at a time, so about 14 -15 gallons at a time.

usually about 1oz per gal is adequate. I've tried several combination from 12oz per tank to about 18oz per tank, but I haven't noticed any power gain or loss from any particular mixture.

I mix 16 ounces of 2-cycle oil into the tank every time I stop to get gas. It runs like a charm and there's NO smoke - NADA. I go by the ratio on the bottle of oil that I get. I've also still got the OMP hooked up too.

Right on Mark! Marvel Mystery Oil.. yummy good for your rotary Give motor oil a minty scent to it and helps keep internals clean. The stuff has been around for a long time and it does work, cheap too.

I've known that MMO is rotory engine happy juice but i don't use it much. mostly for my air tools.and i've known about adding it to the (crank) case oil. but i added it to the fuel system. and yes my OMP is still hooked up.
so i did 33/4 gallons and 30 cc's of MMO. not to keen on how that stuff will effect my cats. though. don't want to **** those up.

I responed to the thread like ****... I decided to throw some of that in my tank... and my oil... I threw about 4 oz in the tank and about 1/4 down the tank my car started running like crap... seems like it cloged up my primary jets... I ran about 2 tanks of normall 92 octain fuel through it and my jets seem to be spraying decently... this was on a holley 600... anyone else have this happen to them??? I shure got good gasmileage with the mmo in there though

Question: Is the MMO Super Gas Treatment the same stuff as the regular oil? Or did they just add some injector cleaner to it?

Thx,

F-

Been a while since I used any, but isn't MMO pretty much just trans fluid mixed with a little deisel fuel to thin it out?
Also, not sure if it would be a problem on a rotary, but on piston engines, especially dirty ones, using it to flush the motor clean in the oil will cause all the crud to collect on the oil pickup screen and clog it up pretty good. Don't ask me how I found that out, just wished I would of talked to a few mechanics before I tried it.

Dump the oil in before filling up this way it mixes well as the gas goes in. Optionally you can take the rex out on a wild joy ride on some twisty roads.... hehe.... that really mixes it well.

It's not atf with diesel fuel in it. I soaked caked up rotors in atf and it did not do jack to the carbon. I placed them in MMO and it did loosen up the carbon after a day or so. To me it is obvious, the formula is different.

Uhhh if you want to mix it up you could try pushing down with your body weight on the rear bumper of the car and shaking the suspension. At least that's how us rednecks in NY do it.

I don't think mixxing it is an issue,, just add, and go for a spin around the block.MMO will not hurt the car !.

when i started puting seafoam in my oil it came out thick and black as **** the next two oil changes. I was like WTF but then it started comming out clear as new.
I only change my oil like every 6000 miles now and it still comes out really clear.
