HowTo Find Correct Fuel Pressure

ok guys/gals

my mikuni manual says 2.84 - 4.98 psi

got the 750hp OVERKILL fuel pump, reg and 1/2 feed and return line all done and installed.

i can now set the psi from 3-20 and it will stay there no matter how hard i drive.

now how do i find the correct fuel pressure i NEED to run?

more fuel pressure means?
less fuel pressure means?

the car had the stock pump, the psi was NEVER stable, going from 4psi to 1.4psi at WOT. never leaned out until it started going bad on me last week, WEIRD.

does more fuel pressure make it run richer? keep the fuel bows at the correct level better? harder onthe needle and seat?

wut are the bennifits of lower fuel pressure? dunno.

any help will be GOOD, and a 6 pack will be in the mail for the answer that solves my problem.

Carl.

mount a gauge in the regulator, start the car and adjust while its running

Explain your direct fire, it looks wrong or did you not remove the old leading coil, it looks like its hooked up still
