How to tell, fiber vs. ss wool

ok, i have a old muffler sitting around from one of my old cars, it's a sebring tuning muffler. My question is how do i tell whether it's stuffed with stainless steel or fiber? I'm thinking about putting it on my 7... I know it'd be loud, but i want to try it if i know it'd last...

Thanks,

Alvin

maybe burn the inside with a torch and smell if it has the fiber or stainless smell? just an idea, why not just put it on the car, if it lasts good, if not you got a stock one.

Exactly. If it doesn't get any louder over time, it's got stainless wool and you got lucky.

Heh, it's a short straight through muffler, so it's already going to be loud no matter what, I just hope i can still hear by the time it burns out... wait... i guess it doesn't matter then =P

Thanks guys,

Alvin
