how tall of springs up front/coil-over?

I want to get the coilover springs that ReSpeed has and Im not able to go outside and tear the car apart right now and would really appreciate any info on how tall of springs I should get for what heights of adjustability? I am getting the non weld in perch kit and the roll center blocks,I dont want more than 1" drop in front so let me know what will work,Thanx.

Billy should be able to chime in with some good info. There is a thread floating around about RESPEED's kit.

Good luck

I have the unwelded GC control kit. I got eibach 7" tall front springs. Nice handling except coil overs and tokico illuminas on all four corners (even set low) are just too harsh for street driving. I went back to tokico blues & springs.

What lb rating springs did you get? How do you think it would be with KYB shocks?

Yes, I would suggest 6" springs for higher rates and 7" spring for lower rates. 250/275 for a street car. 300#+ for race.

I believe you will find the Tokico 5 ways can stand #275 max. We have not done the dyno testing yet to confirm this though.

I was going to go for 300lb springs but after talking to GC I went for 350lb. Haven't got them in yet so I hope it's not too hard

I bought the 7" springs with the non-weld perch's,roll center blocks, camber plates, and tokico blues,it sits really low now,the engine and trans are out and it is WAY lower than the stock ride height when it had the engine in it,Im really happy about the parts, height, and price,I havent driven on 'em yet but I bet it will be real nice.I am going to have to make a cable or something hold up the suspension when the weight is NOT on the car because it does not stay snug/bound while the weight is off,if anyone has an idea or if im doing something wrong(I dont think so) let me know.
I just want to say that the ReSpeed kit is really nice and affordable,I would post pics but cant figure out how to,any help on that would kick-***,Thanx.

I got the Repseed weld on kit with 7" 250lb springs. Going to pick up the stuff from the post office tomorrow. Hopefully this weekend I'll get it installed. Got poly bushings to go with it too then new tie rod ends. Should turn out pretty good. AFAIK I'm the only one that got the weld on coilover kit in the group buy. I'll let you all know the difficulty level of the instal.
