How to remove radio trim

I am trying to remove the radio from my gsl-se. I realize there is 4 screws holding it in, 2 on the side and 2 at the bottom. So i removed the shifter trim to remove the 2 radio trim screws under the ashtray. From a spare radio trim i have, it seems to be the only screws holding that part, but when i pull on the radio trim, it will not come out. It seems to stick right under the cold-warm button, it even started to microcrack, so i stop.

What am i missing here, apart from those 2 screws, it only seem to be press fit...

It does snap in as well. Buttttt, you need to remove the heater ***** and remove the 2 nuts under them.

Yeah, just pull the 2 ***** out and then you will need a 10mm socket to get the nuts and washers off.

That was a good radio for it's time. Better than most of the 80's stock.
