How to open aux port valves

Is this where you run the copper pipe to to open the aux port valve actuators with backpreassure via trochoids meathond.

run 1/8" copper pipe from the exhaust manifiold to this t fitting?

mine are wired open or closed and it gives me horrible low end power and terrible gas milage.

that T is for testing. you would only have a single pipe coming from the manifold for your actuators.

the small pipe comes off a pipe that goes to the cat right after a check valve. that pipe should connect to the pipe under the intake manifold for the actuators.

the larger pipes from the ACV; one goes to the air pump and the other goes to some canister that sits under the AFM.

The source for the 6 port actuators is at the back of the intake facing the firewall.
There should be the small tube off of the main air tube that goes to the catalytic converter or presilencer if you are running a header. That small tube goes to the back of the intake with a piece of vacuum hose.

There is a single hardline, the new parts, that come off the header, then a short piece of rubber hose that goes to the built in hardline tee/wye that bolts to the LIM. If you beed a full pic on my setup, I'll see if I can get one tomorrow.

thanks doctor trochoid. It just that me emmisions have been hacked up to pieces and its hard to make sense of things. There is a rubber hose running from behind the intake manifold and cut off at the firewall. its about 3/8" to 1/2" thick and it looks like it was heading to the cats.

That larger hose is part of the split air pipe that feeds fresh air to the cat. The tube that supply's exhaust back pressure to the aux ports tees off of that. 85 FSM Sec 4B, p. 28. Gavin's pic shows the basics of the aux system that the small rubber line will connect to that comes off of the mod I linked to.

Ok i found where the hose is. Thanks so much for helping me. This hose here is the source and its cut off just left out of the picture. Im gonna run some copper pipe out of my exhaust after the connection between the manifold and strait pipes on the pipe side. Then connect the copper pipe with the source for the actuators with a short rubber tube, less than 6 inches. And if i find that the backpreassure is too much and opens the ports at much less rpm, i will instal a valve so i can adjust the preassure and adjsut when the ports open. Thanks trochoid.
