How much work?

I suddenly have 'access' to an original-owner '85 RX-7.
(ie., a longtime friend who offered to GIVE it to me)

Common sense tells me to run away from this "freebie".
It was never garaged until 5 years ago when he decided
to store it until he had more money for brakes, etc.

160,000 miles (55K on the second engine). He will not
sell it for parts or otherwise, but wants to see it
get cleaned up and have occasional visitation rights.

Is this going to be the proverbial money pit? I don't
just want it because it's free ... this is a great car!

If you take your time with everything it can become a hobby rather than a money-pit. Hey a free car is a free car. I'd take it anyday.
