RotaryRevn, so your the "guy from california" he was talking about!

The rust is not bad at all, nothings rotted through at all. just a little suface rust.

The grey interior is nice, but he kept insisting that it was blue... I was just like "yeah, blue.... nice "

Ill take some pics a little later after I get her cleaned up

Yeah, that's me!

Ha Ha, thats funny dude, I was telling him also that Mazda never made a blue interior, just gray black brown and red. He kept telling me it was blue, the same color as the car. Too funny, congrats on the car. I just bought one from San Fransico, red with gray interior, 2700. It's alot but I was getting so sick of looking for one.

here are the Pics I promised.

Yeah, I can understand paying more just to get the search over with. Thats mostly why I just caved and gave the guy $1700. I really didnt want to have to keep searching for one and end up driving cross country to get it. (the rest of the reason I bought it that night was to get out of the house, my little sister was having a birthday party... there was like 12 7 year old girls running around my house screaming = my head)

I got lucky (I think) and bought an 85SE for $1000 yesterday. 145k miles, straight body with oxidized paint, no smoke, OK interior needs some light work, salvage title (burglar stole radio), all California history (no rust).

I figure to get a decent Earl Scheib paint job. Should be able to get interior parts at PnP, even radio/console parts.

Sigh. Now I have 3 12As, an SE and a REPU. Fortunately, I have 2 houses where I can store these things or my wife would go thru the ceiling. She only has to see 2 at any time. Oh, and she's in France so she doesn't even know about the SE. She thinks all I need is the REPU. All of them run, and all of them require some little work.

Actually, I could sell two of the 12As, except they're worth so little it seems a shame.
