how much does a t2 motor weigh?

I'm wondering how much a complete t2 motor weighs compared to a stock 12a motor?

A hundred lbs!!!?

Its a 13B,just like any 13B.The engine block weighs the same as any 13B and the TII intake and ancillary stuff(alternator, rats nest, accessory brackets) are no different than most others in regard to mass.
The small turbo exhaust manifold and the turbo itself might weight a bit more than the large N/A iron exhaust manifold, but not 100lbs more.

If your worried about adding weight, then dont. The fact that your DOUBLING the factory 12A HP and torque completely negates the 25-35lbs you might add with the 13BT.

And what does the stock N/A manifold weigh....15-16lb.....that aint much of a difference.
79-80 Thermal reactors weigh about 70lbs!

No, I'm not worried about adding weight. The swap is done, Now I'm getting ready to order suspension pieces. I'm gonna be using the respeed rear adjustable perches/springs and I'm going to get coil overs for the front. Just wondering if the added weight of the t2 motor and tranny should be taken into account when trying to figure out spring rates.

I was also just kinda curious about the weight differences.

thanks

Very sensible approach, I gave you my advice but I would check with some of the experts including the revered Billy Waits (ReSpeed)

I think 100lbs would be a logical assumption, bigger engine, bigger radiator, more coolant, probably bigger trans, intercooler, wiring, intake and turbo, exhaust, they all add up, if it is less it wouldn't be an enormous amount
