I want to port it myself. how much time involved in taking everything apart and proting an reinstalling? also, what cost besides a gasket kit? i have a air grinder and tools.

 

Once it is out of the car you can have it in a pile of parts in about an hour.

As long as all the hard seals are in good shape all you need is a soft seal kit. Never put one back together so I dont know how long that takes.

If you go to the other forum they have a porting and engine building fourm that is very good.
