How I did my door panels...
Not bad at all, in fact, that's a well done restoration. I personally perfer to keep the carpet kick panel at the bottom though. If you ever replace your carpeting, order a bit extra of the matching roll carpet for the hatch area and you can use that for the kicks.
For the foan underlay, I like to use the standard 1/8" foam headliner that has a cloth face on one side. That seems to finish out better than raw foam. I get fewer low spots in the finished panel since the 77 doesn't soak through the fabric face, causing the compressed foam to take a set in the compressed position, which it appears you have a couple of.

Very nice effort, I did similar on a 83 I sold just with the top part of the panel. I used vinyl and it turned out pretty good. I know I could do a much better job the next time though.
