How I did my door panels...

Another option to your lousy, ripped up, cracking door panels...

Sheet of Foam -$5
Section of Vinyl- $22
Contact Cement/Super 77- $8

Are you kidding me? Wow, that looks really clean. How hard was it for you to do that and how long?

Not bad at all, in fact, that's a well done restoration. I personally perfer to keep the carpet kick panel at the bottom though. If you ever replace your carpeting, order a bit extra of the matching roll carpet for the hatch area and you can use that for the kicks.

For the foan underlay, I like to use the standard 1/8" foam headliner that has a cloth face on one side. That seems to finish out better than raw foam. I get fewer low spots in the finished panel since the 77 doesn't soak through the fabric face, causing the compressed foam to take a set in the compressed position, which it appears you have a couple of.

Very nice effort, I did similar on a 83 I sold just with the top part of the panel. I used vinyl and it turned out pretty good. I know I could do a much better job the next time though.
