How hard it is to built an Engine from Used Parts?
I am wondering how hard it is to built an engine from parts. Also if you doit your self how expensive can it be?
Example:
12A
Special 12A Tripe 777
13B
20B-REW Turbo
I am bore sorry if this been asked alot.

are you asking how much it would cost to build a 12a, or 13b, or 20b from scratch, vice rebuillding a core, or how to build a triple rotor from 12a or 13B parts? without knowing exactly what your asking its rather difficult to answer.

It's not difficult. It's impossible!
The old rule of thumb was the cost to buy new parts to build a car was 3 times the cost of a new car, and that excluded labor.
To build an engine from scratch using secondhand parts is a relatively easy task if you are an experienced mechanic. As for cost, it would be quite difficult to acquire every part you needed and you would need a new rebuild kit anyway so the costs would soon add-up.
The cheapest way would be to buy a secondhand engine, strip it down and replace all the worn parts. It is impossible to predict the exact cost. In the case of a 12A it would depend on what you paid for the engine [$50-500] and the parts you had to replace [$300-1000]. In contrast, buying everthing you needed part by part could be anything from $2000-4000 depending on how many rotary wreckers there are where you live. It can also be really frustrating when no one seems to have one specific part you need to complete the project!
How long is a piece of string!
What ever you decide it is worth getting a copy of the rebuild video to help you.

i say you should just go for it, who cares how much it costs, sure you may get into a bind, be unable to pay your mortgage, car payments, remember when in doubt... you can always sell your wife and children into slavery.

Hahaha, ya well sorry for not making my question very clear but I see a few of ya understand what I was askin for or at least I think. Anyways, I been thinking of a 12A Tripe Rotor and would like to take such a project somewhere sometime and I am wondering if it would be expensive. Because, the 20B Triple Rotor is a very expensive project for what I have heard. However, I don't need a 20B if I can get or do a 12A Triple Rotor Engine. I would be happy. Even if is Carb and not EFI.

There is a big difference between a 20b and a 12a or 13b 3 rotor there is a guy on here that has made his own 3 rotor from a 13b. It is a shorter block and it takes a lot of machine work. Cost well I just priced a 20b for my fb $4000 read to go motor not instaled or tuned im considering doing the swap if my new job comes through for me.

Capri is right, there is a hell of a lot of work involved in making a 12A based 3 rotor. A company in the UK produces one and it costs well over 3 times the price of getting a low mileage 20B import. engine. From memory its around UK pounds10 ,000 to buy.
The most complex task is the e-shaft which would cost a fortune unless you had the skills and equipment to produce your own.

Hitman engine was built by Simply Maz and is a 3 rotor 13B using a mixture of custom, 12A, 13B and 20B parts. It certainly was not a cheap project. His website is www.hitman.hm/rx7.htm. Look at the shaft its a great piece of engineering
The UK firm is at www.hurleyengineering.com. Besides the 3 rotor they will also build you a 4 or 6 rotor engine for that little extra power!
You can do anything with the right skills and a great load of money
