How do you remove the door beams?

Okay, no passenger seat in my car, gutted the passenger door, and since theres nobody on that side of the car, who gives a rip about crash safety? Okay, how do you get that stupid heavy door beam out? Its welded in place from what I can tell, and its too close to the outside of the door to sawzall the back half off. any ideas on how to pull that sucker out of there?

Put a 3" or 4" cutoff wheel on a die grinder and carefully cut the beam on either end just inside of the spotwelds, then grind down the rough edges. If you do this carefully, you can cut it out without damaging the outer skin of the door.
