It looks like you still have the stock carb. on there. That will be your biggest loss of power with everything else you have already done to the car.

With what you've done to that 79, an electric fan or MSD box won't make any huge improvements unless your ignition or fan aren't working correctly. How about a 48IDA carb swap, or switch to an EFI system? Better yet, just remove excess weight from the car.

RB header, but what about the rest of the exhaust? Put a RB presilencer and power pulse muffler on there to free up some horsepower...

Ah. So no plans to make it street legal then. ICBC and the cops have a low ha-ha factor for such stuff...

That is why you should move here to Kansas, in the middle of no where.

(no emission testing) Hehehehehehe...I knew there was something good about this state.

Type II Modified Stationary Gears
Type II 13B Front

Our Type II Modified Stationary Gears are based on the 1992 stock front and rear stationary gears, with the same Racing Beat modifications found on the Type I stationary gears, and are intended for 13B engines only. Additionally, both the front and rear Type II modified stationary gears include gas nitriding and screw-lock bearings, a machined step to accommodate the large diameter thrust bearings and related components, and an improved bearing with a matching oil groove.

yes, the rest of the full exhaust system will greatly improve the power, well a reasonable amount anyway

what ignition is it running standard? is it one stuill ruinning points? if it is, an upgrade top the 81-85 I think 1st gen electronic will help alot, well enough to notice, especially at hi RPMs.

never had experiance with a holley, but a weber may give an increase, thats the niormal thing here in oz.

sorry, not really familiar with what copunts as a streetport? Im guessing it stops well short of any kind of bridge, so Im thinking maybe a supercharger bolted on

stuff paint, that adds weight, strip the thing to bare, fuel cell, one seat(you know one of the carbon fibre titanium things) no seat belt, thats just more unnecesary weight and boom!!! more power or you could just add a coupla stickers, thats sure to add at least 50hp

Why do you need to go over 7 Grand in a street port? Isn't the peak somewhere around 6200?

Is there any available modified stationary gear for a 12A?

Edit: Never Mind... Found em. Just had to click the link...

street port is more then 6200rpm peak. Even a stock port peaks above 6200rpm with headers and and intake

If it still has the stock 3mm (steel) seals, doesn't chatter start somewhere around 6200 RPM? Where's Peejay?? And shouldn't the limit still be 8500 RPM for a SP?

Stuff that 1 seat idea, where the hell am I supposed to sit, oh wait, maybe in the identical car right beside it. Someday.
