Well as most of you all ready know I'm running a 13B-PP with a Rotary Engineering 12A roadrace header stretched 20mm to fit the 13B. That bolts to a 2 1/2" test pipe that bolts up to the stock 12A exhaust pipe with a APC glass pack muffler at the back. Well me and the rest of the guys up here are thinking that is the problem with low HP numbers the PP put out. Well a friend of mine has loaned me his custom exhaust set up to me so I can see it this will help me in getting a cool 220+rwhp out of this engine. If it works I'm going to copy the design and build this setup for me out of stainless.

Little about this setup is dual 2" pipe from the header into side by side magnaflow 4" x 14" resinators back to dual 2" pipe and into a 2 1/2" collector pipe just before the axle. 2 1/2" pipe up over the axle and split into dual 2" pipe into two seperate edlebrock s/s mufflers.

Whats the idea behind running a dual pipes, collecting it before the axle and finally running dual mufflers. Im just wondering.

wacky, prolly so they can put two mufflers in the back to quiet it down. those look like 2.50" inlet outlet presilencers

the angle of convergence of both collectors is rather narrow - if you build your own exhaust look at these collectors http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=858

blown7, can you shake those magnaflow presilencers and see if they make noise? as in packing coming apart? i have similar magnaflow presilencers and they have steadily gotten louder.

and lastly, i'd really like to see this exhaust work on the car and make some good hp. going to sevenstock?

blown7, no offense, but that exhaust looks crappy. I mean really crappy. If I got a car that had that, I'd rip it out. My REPU had something similar (built by a noob) and it really sucked for power. I later pulled the engine and tried it in something that had a single pipe system and it really came alive. The crappy dual pipe system was killing power everywhere. I'm replacing it with a better system after a bit of research.

Any suggestions you guys have to help make my P-port make power yet still be some what reasonable for sound would help. As for this system working is came off of a 12A full bridgeport car that is fuel injected and made 205rwhp on the dyno. I figured if it worked for the bridge is should be better than what is on the car now. I was thinking of going full 2 1/2" or 3" pipe all the way back with a presilencer and decent muffler.

These magnaflow silencers are ok. I have shaked them and they are not making any sound, the owner has already had to replace them once.

This is the nicest I've seen posted by FAR.

I wish it was 2.5" inlet though.

Talking

min I will use on that is 2.25 on duals and 2.5 on single and not the one shown above. Why built a p-port if you will muffle it down. Why built a fast engine if you cant drive it like you stole it. if the engine blow, built another one. But that is just my opinion.

Are you still running all of those stock heatshields that cover over where the cat's used to be?

There ya go, try it now. I right clicked and got the link from the properties tab

I just wish it wasn't so damned shiney. I think I would prefer an unpolished piece.
It should fade in time though I guess.

None yet, just finishing up the project. Hope to get the exhaust on this week but I'm pressed for free time right now.

Yeah its gotten better over time. I have a short clip but it honestly doesn't do justice. It sounds so burly with just the muffler and I am in the process of getting the RB headers to make it even better. Highly recommend this!!

Yes I am still using the stock heat shields. Now I am considering taking one of my pre silencers out and putting in a high flow cat made by random technology. Doesnt require a air pump and they claim no loss of power. My car is a sleeper and the cat would make it a little more quiet and people behind me wont hate the smell of the exhaust.
