how about once more around

I was just wondering what people think about a monza exahast system for a 1983 rx7. I have one on my 1976 Truimph TR7 and it sounds really nice. And always the price tag is very nice for a 17 year old kid...$250...out of victoria british i think.
Thanks for the input in advance,

TJ

I think the general consensus is that they aren't very good. Monzas are pacesetter systems, and from people's feedback on the forum, they can't take the stress of a rotary so they don't last. you might be better off finding used rb header and stuff like that.

nope i heard it will starting getting surface rust within a week of using it so after a year it might start being pretty bad....but i think the catback pace setters are supposed to be decent if you cant afford the RB muffler

i had a pacesetter on my supra, and if it can handle 20psi of boost and constant 850 celcius EGTs im sure it can handle a stock Rx7.

altho, yes the paint will flake off very quickly. you get what you pay for.

i bought the pacesetter header altho everyone on here seems to think they are crap. it sure as hell beats the stocker and i had it in one day, instead of waiting weeks for shipping. so far its held up great and sure makes the car sound different

I have actually heard of monza headers burning right through... NEVER, I repeat NEVER have I heard of a Racing beat header rusting right through.

Racing beat is a little more pricey but they are a experienced company and they know what they are doing when it comes to rotary exhaust. Like said earlier you get what you pay for and you will not regret buying a RB system its got it all, looks, performance, sound its long lasting all while keeping it very street legal and streetable...

thanks guys for the input. ill think about that when the time come. right now i want to fix up the interior first. but on a side note most of the full racing beat exaust systems cost more then i paid for the whole damn car.$450 lol but i already have a car so im just looking for something to dick around with and maybe get some mods and keep the miles off the tr7. but right now i am loving the rotaries i think thats how u spell but w/e
