Hot air pipe replace?

Noob question here but... what can I replace this with? Is there a reason it's not rubber piping stock? The photo is taken of an immaculate engine, but mine is all chewed up and couldn't get a clear photo taken. Thoughts?

they have them at any autozone or oreilleys. its just a carb pre-heater hose. all it does it take air warm by the exhaust and feed it to the carb to help it get to temp faster

it hooks to the exhaust heat shield, so rubber would be bad
