Those are bad *** hood pins, and honestly I would consider putting those in, since my latch is missing out of my car.

These are hot IMO. They're a PITA to install, in fact I don't think you could even do it on a steel hood (not that you should *cough* *rice* *cough*). But on fiberglass they would def be my first choice.
Whether or not you should put them on your hood is personal choice, but I don't see any reason they wouldn't work on a steel hood.

Post some pics during and after. I'm curious to see how they look. Since your car is silver, they'll stand out.

The below adapters will make it easier to mount them, saving you from having to hold each nut while you drive the fasteners:

I find the newer designs quite interesting from an aesthetic/function point of view. If you want to use them, then do a write up on the install with pics.

"Japanese Domestic Market" IIRC. Supposed to refer to cars/parts/options that are available in Japan but usually not in the States. Also synonymous with "rice" about 75% of the time.

This.

In the end, it's your choice. If you like the hood pins, go for it. It's not my (nor most of the 1st gen section, based on the responses here) cup of tea. but it's your car. Do what you want.
