Wow, Kevin, it's not often forum chatter drives me to the dictionary! Word power...

Where is Tim's air temp thermistor? In the stock location on the intake plenum it heat soaks pretty badly. I'm guessing this is why Mazda also put one in the afm. You (OK, Tim) might want to try sticking the thermistor out in the airbox or air filter area, depending on what's left of the stock intake ducting. An even easier check is to just unplug the sensor. That will cancel air temperature correction.

I'll relay that advice to Tim. He's about to give up and put a Haltec F3 on it. I told him that he's a weenie for giving up too easily. I mean, he's a Linux geek - going with the Haltec's kind of like going with Windows because it's "easier".
