Holley fuel pump question.

Alright first let me start off by saying that I have used the search function.

The fuel pump died in my '80 SA and I figured what the hell why not upgrade to a Holley Blue pump and FPR. I am running the stock carb. First, is this a good pump to use with my setup or should i go with the red one. secondly if it is the right one then what do i need to do to install it such as modifications to the fuel line or something of that nature.

the blue is going to be absolute overkill for the stock carb, but if I had a choice between the Blue and Red, i'd go the Blue everytime. Make sure to get the 1-4psi regulator, as the Nikki only requires 3 or so psi. DO NOT deadhead it, run a return. I made that mistake and have had alot of troubles with it (blue with RB Holley 465).

it comes with the 4.5-9psi regulator, and 4.5 is WAY too high for the nikki.
