Thumbs up holley fuel pump

I just put a used holley fuel pump on my rex and now it won't start. I hear the pump working. I tested it before I put it on and it works so my questions is about how I mounted it. It didn't come with any mounting hardware so I just got a pvc holder and mounted it where the stock one was. It's mounted sideways. Could that be why it isn't working? Does it need to be mounted straight up and down? Well thanks in advance

Do you have a pressure regulator hooked up with the pump? If not your flooded. pull your leading plugs and see if they are wet.

Holley Fuel Pumps i.e. Blue Pump must be mounted (Upright) or you will get Cavitation and possibly can cause a Fire!!!
Go to Holley's web site and Email them with your question. They will tell you the same thing.
I have the same setup with Racing Beats Holley Carb and a Holley Fuel Reg and ran into the same problem until I remonted it Upright. Fixed the problem right away.
Hope yours is that easy.

well I got it working right. It ended up being a problem inside. I pulled it apart and the little metal plates where stuck, not letting them slide out and push the fuel along. cleaned them up and mounted it back the way it was (sideways) it works great. I didn't put a regulator on yet and it doesn't flood? Guess I need to hook up a pressure tester on there?
